Easy Gluten Free Tortillas

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup cassava flour
  • 1 1/4 cups cold/cool water
  • 1/4 cup avocado oil
  • fine sea salt
  • 1/8 tsp driedd garlic salt
  • cooking oil for pan


  • Super simple with blender or mixer. Add all of the ingredints and blend on low speed until you have a smooth mixture.
  • Preheat a large griddle or cast iron skillet over a medium heat. Make sure you give a few minutes for everything to heat up proper.
  • Spray or wipe oil onto the pan or griddle. Also lightly spray oil onto a spatula or spoon.
  • Scoop up about a 1/4 cup of batter mix and place on the griddle. Use the spatula or spoon to spread out the mixture so the tortilla is about 1/4 inch thick (practice will make perfectish).
  • Cook one side for 2-3 minutes before flipping and cooking the other side. The aim is for a golden brown color on both sides.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack.


We try to have all ingredients easily found in major supermarkets. With this recipe, you might have to look further afield for the cassava flour. We did find it in one supermarket and also at Bulk Barn. It’s worth the effort and keeping some in your pantry.
