Easy Grilled Sausage and Veggie Dinner

  • Outdoor grill or firepit.


  • ¾ pound fresh green beans
  • pound red potatoes, diced quarters
  • 1 large onion , sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 pound smoked sausage , cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp butter
  • cup water


  • Preheat your outdoor grill or stoke the fire to a high heat.
  • You need a large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil to wrap all the ingredients. Aluminum foil trays are a good sturdy option.
  • Mix potatoes, onion, green beans and sausage then season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle oil on the aluminum sheet and add the food mix. Sprinkle a little oil on top and add the butter.
  • Tightly wrap the foil around the ingredients leaving a small opening. Now add the water and seal the packet.
  • Put the sealed packet on the grill or fire. Cooking time should be between 20 and 30 minutes.
  • Turn the packet about halfway through the cooking time. Cook until sausage is browned and the vegetables are tender.
