Quick & Easy Hoisin Skillet Salmon

  • Large skillet


  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained go for low-sodium and control the amount of salt you add
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic peeled and crushed 2-3 cloves-some people think you can never have to much garlic
  • 2 cups broccoli florets works well with frozen broccoli
  • 4 salmon fillets, skinned bigger the better
  • 1 lemon quartered
  • Cilantro chopped
  • Salt


  • Mix the beans, 3/4 cup water, hoisin sauce, red pepper flakes and garlic in the large skillet
  • Place the salmon fillets in the skillet and top off with broccoli.
  • Simmer over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until the salmon is just cooked through. Broccoli should still be crisp and tender.
  • Add salt to taste
  • Serve salmon and let your fellow campers drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle cilantro based on their preference.
